From Ataturk Airport the hotel can be easily reached by metro & tram in less than 1 hour at a cost of 4 TL & then just a 5 minute walk downhill to the hotel. The hotel is in the Sultanahmet area & you can walk to all of the major attractions in 5-10 minutes. On arrival at the hotel I was greeted & made very welcome by a very kind & efficient young man on reception called Melih. Nothing was too much trouble for Melih & he made me feel very welcome offering me tea or coffee on arrival & providing me with as much information as I wanted. Melih also helped me to print my boarding pass for my flight before leaving the hotel - (thank you Melih)!I had a very nice room on the second floor which was very comfortable & quiet & everything worked fine in the room. Comfortable bed, great shower, modern wall mounted TV, free wifi.. The room was cleaned & serviced everyday to a high standard. Breakfast was adequate with sufficient choice, although during the winter the breakfast room was a bit cold. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and nothing was a trouble for them. I'm sure you will be very comfortable at this hotel.

We spent great time at the Hotel Zeugma. First of all, I have to thank all the personnel for their concern and personal care whilst my husband was in hospital, it was truly remarkable. Their customer care is outstanding and what makes it more remarkable is that these people do it so effortless, nothing is too much asked and all is done with such friendliness and sincerity. The hotel itself is centrally located and close to the tram station. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was nice and the menu for the hot buffet changed daily. I would highly recommend this hotel and would like to congratulate the Zeugma Hotel on such amazing staff especially the front desk staff.

We find this hotel an excellent choice for our trips to Istanbul and hope to return again 2012. It has a a relaxed friendly atmosphere. The hotel is in the centre of Sultanahmet area and within walking distance to many historical sites. The staff here are very friendly and helpful, also very knowlageable about the area and only too willing to advise. Rooms are good, they have a good clean efficient service.and breakfast is served overlooking the busy street below, and have to say there is no noise inside the hotel very quiet and restful.Just outside the hotel the choice of restaurants is also very good and reasonably priced . All together having found this hotel we have no need to look elsewhere we are more than happy with this one..

We stayed there in September for 4 nights. Great central location. Enjoyed their free pickup from the airport which was a great start. Our room was a bit on the small side but it was at the back of the building and was therefore quiet and we were able to sleep with the window open. Nicely decorated and clean rooms with helpful staff. The breakfast could be improved by some fresh fruit - the only fresh item was the bread but the toastie maker was a good addition

We were at hotel in October. Seven nights. Staff is very friendly, always at service. Room is always clean, and quiet so we were able to sleep after walking all day around Istanbul. I must point out that whatever we need, any questions how to get to some historical or any other site, we were instructed. Location is great, only 4-5 minutes from Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque and Topkapi palace by walk.

Excellent hotel , perfect location in Sultan Ahmed area. The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood , alive and there are many restaurant and cafes around. Clean rooms and helpful staff . It was a great experience that we had at Zeugma Hotel , we really enjoyed our stay there and would stay there again. Excellent value of money and service especially if traveling with friends and looking to enjoy Istanbul. Most of the sites in Sultan Ahmed are 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel. The only negative thing that is worth mentioning is perhaps the noise in the evening from the crowds of tourist on the street other than that is was wonderful !

The Zeugma Hotel was a great place to stay while exploring the city of Istanbul. The staff was patient as we asked questions in broken Turkish and assisted us with planning trips around the city by providing maps and directions to help us navigate public transportation. Each morning their is a large selection of items in the complementary breakfast and the staff is very attentive with refills for your cup of coffee or tea. We stayed in room 103, which was the smallest, but ideal for our budget and the short amount of time we spent in the room (sleeping only). The hotel was clean and the staff graciously responded to all of our requests.

The location of the hotel is really perfect if you want to walk around the city and visit main sights. It is a nice small hotel, seems to be a family run one with warm comfartable romantic atmosphere and friendly staff (especially the lady serving breakfast). We liked our suite room on the top floor with very beautiful view of Bosphorus. We were provided with free transfer from Ataturk airport, as stayed for four nights in the hotel and small bottle of wine was a gift (I guess because of the suite room). Unfortunately, only breakfast is served in the hotel, but you can always have some good coffee and meals in restaurants situated nearby. Breakfast is served on a nice terrace with view of the old city center. Most of the places of interest are in walking distance, and even if you wand to go to the new part of the city, tram station is about 5 minutes on foot.In general,I would say that it is a good hotel to stay in the old center of Istanbul as it has a typical ottoman style and allows you to get into the spirit of Istanbul,a link and mediator between Europe and Asia.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a romantic but reasonably priced place to stay that was walking distance to everything, and we happened to walk upon the Zeugma Hotel. They gave us the penthouse level room and a great deal on the place. It was everything we had hoped for and more so that we could enjoy our last romantic night together in Istanbul. The reception area is extremely helpful and can organize almost anything for you...even one of the managers carried my bag up the flights of stairs to our room, and was happy to do so. The included breakfast spread is wonderful and the woman that works there made sure the food was fresh and replenished for when we sat down. Needless to say, the service is great! We liked it so much, we're actually returning next week! -Peggy and Simone.

Zeugma Hotel's location is perfect to explore the main attractions in the "old" area of Istanbul - Sultanahmet. The Breakfast and Cleaning Lady - Mrs. Tuna - made us feel spoilt during breakfast with her effort to give us the extra service. With its great location, good service and value for money, we think Zeugma Hotel is definitely a place to stay in Sultanahmet.

We stayed at Zeugma for 5 nights at the start of May. Situated in Sultanahmet, well presented small hotel and great value for money. Met Cem at reception who showed us to our room on the 2nd floor and gave us a quick run through of the room. Room was clean and pleasantly decorated and a request that I had put in when booking had been taken care of. The location of the hotel is perfect for visits to the Aya Sofya, Blue Mosque, Cisterns, markets etc by foot. There is a fantastic tram service just 5mins walk (max) from hotel. Cem at reception with tell you about this and lots of other interesting bits of information. Plenty of restaurants/bars/cafes on the same road as hotel but we tended to eat further away from the hotel.Best bit about the hotel are the people, Cem is very helpful, Melih answered all my emails promptly, the night porter was very friendly and polite and Tuna the breakfast lady/chambermaid is an angel. We will stay there again and we have already started to recommend our friends stay at the Zeugma.

Value for money in a really handy and lively location. Neat and tidy rooms and very helpful staff. Breakfast was basic but then the friendly breakfast lady offered to cook us up some extras like Sigara Boregi (cigar shaped pastry filled with feta cheese) which really made the difference. She also was frying up eggs for other guests which was good to see along with some friendly banter.

Great location, friendly & helpful staff, good value for your money.. I've traveled to Turkey many times, this time arriving middle of the night after 20 hours of travel and was met by helpful staff who got me quickly settled into my room. Slept like a baby for 8 hours straight, no noise as I had experienced in other Istanbul hotels. Breakfast on the terrace was my favorite Turkish breakfast with tomatoes, cucumbers, cheeses, eggs, meats, bread, coffee and tea. The breakfast server was a tiny, energetic and very friendly woman named Tuna. What a sweetie pie! We had a fine conversation in our fractured "Turklish" language. She was charming and helped get the day off to a fine start. I highly recommend Zeugma Hotel and look forward to my next stay there!

Could not have been better!! It is no 5-star hotel, but I loved every experience of it. Thought being a solo traveller, I booked a double room with a balcony. The view from the balcony in the morning and night was excellent. The noise (if any) did not disturb my peace even though I was in the midst of a very busy street. Being in the middle of this beautiful screen enabled me to savour the taste of its quietness and busy-ness. The room I stayed in was authentically decorated and gave a cozy feel. I was comfortable and never felt that anything was amiss. I even had free wi-fi internet service which provided me an avenue to be in touch with home! Location, needless to say, was excellent. Food, shops, touristic spots, public transportation and even convenient stores were within walking distance. I was never short of anything. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and honest in recommending places to go, things not-to-be-missed in Istanbul and also valuable advice of what to stay alert or away from. I'd say that they have their guests' interest at heart. I remember after a tired day of sighting, I'd always be greeted with a warm and friendly smile by the staff plus an offer of turkish tea to ease the day. As if being welcomed home after a hard day's work! It made me feel at home eventhough I was actually far from home.Zeugma will definitely be amongst my choice of stay again if I ever revisit this beautiful country. What is there not to, it provided me comfort, ease and most importantly, an additional taste of what Istanbul has to offer.

Our room (301) was beaitufl, very clean, great marmara sea view asian side of the city, old houses, etc. Breakfast was another beauty of this hotel. At the top floor, very clean nice selection of breakfast items, very kind breakfast server. Location of the hotel was another enjoyable thing. You could walk anywhere around the area feel like you have only walked 100ft. music, people on the streets enjoying themself, etc. It was a great experience at Zeugma, I cannot wait to visit Istanbul stay at Zeugma Hotel again. Thank you for your kindness fabolous service Zeugma
